The food here is so good! So much flavor, good portions. I'm mad it took us so long to try them. Friendly staff, quick service. Eat in or take out. Add this spot to the rotation.

The day I tried fish here is the day Peruvian food became one of my three favorite foods of all time, with Liberian, and Ethiopian. I can't tell you what I had, nor when I had it, but I'll never be the same.

I learned about this restaurant from a food blogger (JL Jupiter) a few weeks ago and was quite excited to hear about his experience. I love Peruvian food! While running errands today I decided to head to the restaurant and wasn't sure if they were open so I googled the restaurant name and Yelp came up first. While searching the site for their business hours, I came upon a review from a previous customer who gave the restaurant 1 star complaining that her food was covered in "white hairs" implying that the the restaurant had pets in the kitchen that got into the food. I was initially immediately turned off and thought to reconsider going to the restaurant based on that sole complaint. But something about that didn't sound right and admittedly, with reluctance I still made the trip as I really had a taste for Peruvian food. I order the same dish every time I visit a Peruvian restaurant, Chicken Chaufa and Roasted Chicken. Upon entry the restaurant was clean, staff friendly. The food was good. I wouldn't say it was the best I've eaten but it was good. The chicken chaufa (i.e., chicken fried rice) I purchased had the "little white hairs" that Yelp reviewer with the initials "C.C" noted in her review of the food which I immediately knew was GRATED GINGER! If you have any experience cooking with ginger root or eating Peruvian food where they cook almost everything with ginger that is what was in the food! Very sad that one bad, ignorant, and uninformed review could cost this establishment business. I will attempt to report "C.C" review to Yelp as inaccurate so Yelp takes it down. I am sure if they just went back to the restaurant to raise their complaint they would have explained that the food had grated ginger in it. p.s. I forgot to take a pic of the food before I ate so apologies!

Homemade Peruvian meat and chicken empanadas have been added recently! Not sure if it's a special or not. I liked the meat one slightly more. The meat one had an olive in it which gave it a nice touch. There's a green sauce that one can add on the side that is not mayo, but it may seem kind of like it but much lighter in consistency. I had the purple drink and too much rice hoping for a "side" portion instead.

My friend told me this place had good rotisserie chicken and Peruvian food and she was correct. This local spot had quick take out and friendly staff. The food was so tasty that I wish I got a second chicken I'll be back

Had a good sampling of Peruvian food at H&B at 3905 State Road in Drexel Hill. On this visit we tried the Plantanos Dulces (Sweet Plantains), Lomo Saltado (Beef Slices with Rice), Chaufa de Pollo (Chicken Fried Rice) and Flan for dessert. The place was immaculate and service, friendly. We need to return to try their roasted chicken next. (For some odd reason, they've retained the reference to the "New York Style Deli and More)

If you've never had Peruviian food now is your chance and you will not be disappointed! This is a gem!!! The rice is so amazing good it beats most Asian spots! Did you know that there is a heavy influence of Asian cuisine in Peruvian cuisine? This lends to an amazing amalgamation of flavors. The rice is beyond good! This plate was only $10!!! How can you go wrong?! The sauce is the perfect accompaniment to the chicken and plantains. I can't wait for the new menu they will reveal soon!!! Please check them out it is so worth it!!! Enjoy!!!
